Blue Lines is the debut album by Bristol trio, Massive Attack. A critically acclaimed masterpiece that takes American Hip Hop and filters it through British club culture. It’s a slow burner of an album that encompasses elements of house, dub, and hip hop to form what years later the UK press coined “Trip Hop”. Featuring legendary vocalists such as Horace Andy, Neneh Cherry, Shara Nelson, and a young Tricky who would go on to have huge success within the genre.
